EnergyIQ: Privacy

To avoid exposing sensitive information concerning building design, location, etc., the LBNL Action-oriented Benchmarking System and its EnergyIQ web application design team has taken the following precautions to safeguard your building information.

1. In the analysis provided, buildings are only geographically located in the system by the ZIP code they belong in.
   
   
2. While the user who inputs a building is also required to "name" the building (for user retrieval purposes), this descriptive tag is not used in calculations nor is it displayed in benchmarking analysis. It is used strictly in the MyIQ section (to which each user has login-protected access) to help the user distinguish between the buildings they currently have in the system.
